Drawings of flowers using Oil Pastels
In this course you will learn different techniques of drawing roses and other flowers and coloring techniques using oil pastels
Drawing flowers can be a calming and mindful activity that can improve your observation skills, hand-eye coordination, and fine motor skills. It can also help you focus on the intricate details, shapes, and colors of flowers
A large circular centre flower shows confidence and is indicative of someone who likes attention. However carefully drawn flowers suggest someone has an obsessive-compulsive personality. The second most popular objects sketched are stars – and as they contain points they can indicate someone is ambitious.
Oil pastels are pigments ground in mastic with a variety of oils and waxes. They are used in a similar way to that of French pastels but are already fixed and harder, producing a permanent, waxy finish.
These are perfect for kids! I consider these a couple steps up from crayons. Oil pastels are made from an oil binder, which keeps them always “wet.” When you use them, you’ll notice that they apply to paper differently. It’s a lot like spreading butter!
