- Warm up our Excel skills with some statistical functions, formulas and budget templates
- Walk through time value of money concepts
- Learn the difference between simple and compound interest, along with Excel formulas to make it simple
- Understand return-on-investment and analyze internal rate of return using Excel
- Analyze an income statement and become familiar with the key metrics
- Monitor costs and efficiency while identifying the breakeven point for your business using Excel
- Become conversant in statistical concepts such as mean, median, and standard deviation using Excel
- Analyze a balance sheet and calculate the key ratios
- Calculate probability for simple and complex scenarios and put a monetary value on uncertain outcomes
We will learn everything described above using nothing more than the 4 basic math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Some lectures are reinforced with Excel demos – strengthening your Excel skills as we progress.
