How to schedule the sending of messages on iPhone?

You have to send an important message and you are afraid to forget? It is possible to schedule sending your text messages in advance from your iPhone. In this article, we explain how to do.

In certain situations (important appointments, anniversaries), it may be useful to write a message in advance so that it is sent automatically at a predefined and precise time.

On iOS, unlike Android, such a feature is not available natively. However, there are other very simple solutions to plan the shipping of your SMS or, at least, create a reminder.

In this article, we offer two tips for scheduling the sending of a message on the iPhone .

The Scheduled application

The Scheduled application makes it possible to program the sending of SMS for free. However, if you want to send them automatically then you will have to pay a monthly subscription.

Indeed, even if the app itself is free, to use the function of sending messages, you will (at least) subscribe to its Premium package, € 2.99 per month.

If you do not want to subscribe, then you can only configure the programming of your text messages, then receive a reminder in due time.

Use Reminders and create an alert

Planning to send SMS is also possible from Reminders, a native iOS application. Although it can not automatically send a text message, it is a very good reminder to remind you that your message should be sent and when.

Its use is very simple, once in Reminders, go to the + icon in the upper right corner of the screen, then select Reminder from the menu that appears.

In the empty field at the top, type your note, such as ” Send a message to mum ” and, in Notify me a certain day, enter the date and time of your alert.
Finally, enter your text in the Notes section at the bottom of the page and press OK.

On D-Day, when your alert appears on the screen, double-tap it. Once the application is open, tap the title of your note and then the info icon (a circled “i”), and scroll to the Notes section.
