Requirements
Learning to read is one of the most critical skills your child must master in the early years of their brain development. Unfortunately, many children miss out on developing fluent reading because they have not received the individual tutoring or practice that develops fluent reading.
The good news is if you can read, you can teach your child to read.
This course provides the step-by-step instruction a tutor can use to enable a child to master basic reading skills stress-free and confidently.
To become a fluent reader, your child must cover FOUR aspects. They are:
1. Phonics: The relationship between letters and sounds.
2. Fluency: The ability to read quickly and naturally because they recognize and group words automatically.
3. Vocabulary Knowledge: Building a collection of sight words in their long-term memory.
4. Text comprehension: Processing text meaning and developing thinking skills.
Teach Your Child to Read Quickly and Easily provides the lessons a caring parent can share with their child and the graded reading texts to develop fluency.
The video lessons will enable your child to:
· Learn the sounds of English and the combinations of letters that represent them
· Learn how to blend sounds into words and how to spell them
· Learn to recognize and decode new words to add to their vocabulary knowledge
· Recognize spelling patterns for English words
· Read sentences beginning with easily decodable ones
· Build a list of recognizable whole words.
Your child can review lessons as many times as necessary.
There is a worksheet for every lesson.
The course is for
· Parents of children with reading difficulties who want to give their child informed tutoring or an earlier start with learning to read
· Parents of children diagnosed with dyslexia
· Children who are learning English as an additional language
The steady mastering of the basic reading skills outlined in this book will lead to
READING FREEDOM!
