# Solving Differential Equation using MATLAB and Modeling

Differential equations is widely used in all engineering branches to model any physical and real world problems. In order to Implementation model based Control system it is also essential to use model of the system. It is always difficult for the students who are beginner in MATLAB to solve any differential equations.  In addition if mathematical model, that is students intended to solve is of higher order than students find difficult to solve as matlab can only solve first order differential equations. This course is designed to demonstrate how to solve ordinary differential equations using MATLAB. MATLAB is capable to solve only first order differential equations. Therefore,before using MATLAB tools for solving differential equations, it is also important to understand how higher order differential equations can be converted to set of first order differential equations. This problem is addressed in this course. Some tricks of solving differential equations such as number of files which are required, where to use which solver is also discussed.  In this course the explanation and demonstration about solving differential equations of first order, second order equations are explained using MATLAB. In addition, modeling of quadtank system is also shown. I believe this course will help students with minimum training time
