This course is built for structural engineers, students, and professionals who want to develop strong, practical skills in Revit modeling and detailing, with a clear focus on real project workflows. The training is entirely centered on modeling and documentation, without going into structural design calculations, so you can focus on mastering Revit as it is used in industry.

You will begin with a solid foundation, learning how to set up projects properly using levels, grids, units, and organized workflows. From there, the course moves into detailed modeling of both steel structures and reinforced concrete systems, ensuring you gain hands-on experience with the elements you will encounter in real projects.

A major part of the course focuses on steel structure modeling, where you will learn how to create accurate models of steel beams, columns, and full framing systems. You will work with different section types such as W-sections, HSS, channels, and angles, and understand how to model beam systems, bracing layouts, and composite systems. The course also introduces composite beams and composite slabs, helping you model realistic floor systems used in modern construction. In addition, you will learn how to place and manage basic steel connections in Revit, including beam-to-column and base plate conditions.

Alongside steel, the course provides complete coverage of reinforced concrete modeling. You will model concrete columns, beams, slabs, and different types of foundations such as isolated footings, strip footings, and raft foundations. You will also work with structural walls and understand how to organize concrete elements within a clean and coordinated model.

A key highlight of this course is reinforcement detailing (rebar modeling). You will learn how to place reinforcement in beams, columns, slabs, and foundations using Revit tools. The course covers rebar shapes, spacing, covers, and constraints, along with the preparation of reinforcement drawings and basic schedules. This ensures you are not only modeling structural elements but also producing detailed and practical construction information.

In addition to modeling, the course focuses heavily on documentation and professional output. You will learn how to create views, sections, and 3D representations, apply view templates, and control visibility settings. You will also work with annotations, tagging, and dimensioning to produce clear and accurate drawings. Sheet creation, title blocks, and layout preparation are covered so you can generate complete drawing sets directly from your model.

The course also reflects real-world BIM workflows, including working with linked architectural models, maintaining alignment and accuracy, and following clean modeling practices. You will learn how to structure your model efficiently, reduce errors, and improve overall productivity.

By the end of this course, you will be able to confidently model complete steel and concrete structural systems, create composite elements, perform basic reinforcement detailing, and produce professional-quality drawings. You will understand how Revit is used in actual projects and be prepared to apply these skills in a professional environment.

This is a practical, hands-on course designed to help you become confident and efficient in Revit structural modeling and detailing, aligned with real industry expectations.
