Understanding terrorism is our civic duty.  This course is an academic approach to exploring the research regarding terrorism cross-culturally and globally in a sociological context.  The culture of violence and aggressive behavior has become an undeniable reality in our everyday lives. In the past few years, domestic violence and aggressive behavior have increased globally from school shootings to political violence. Aggressive behavior is considered a normal part of human interaction. The modern world is one fraught with violence on both a domestic and international scale. The disastrous effect of religious and cultural conflicts dominates headlines, leaving many questioning – What am I to do, in a world so overcome with violence?
