This online wine course will teach you how to buy, taste, pair, serve and keep your wines.

The course is divided into four modules:


Module 1: Wine Tasting:

The first module teaches about types of wine tasting – vertical, horizontal, and blind tastings.

The color, transparency, viscosity, and effervescence of wines will be discussed.

Furthermore, you will have comprehensive knowledge about primary, secondary, and tertiary aromas, the wine’s chemical sensations (sweet, salty, sour, and bitter), and touch or mouthfeel sensations (body, astringency, effervescence, and temperature). You will also learn to make visual, olfactory, and tasting analyses.

Finally, the most common wine faults and how they form and identify them will be discussed.


Module 2: Wine Service:

This second module will teach you about choosing and buying wines for special occasions like formal events, happy hour, or private dining at restaurants—the proper sequence and temperature to serve different types of wines.

You’ll also learn how to correctly open a wine bottle, decanter usage, wine glasses types, and care. In addition to learning about common mistakes when serving wines.


Module 3: Wine & Food Pairing

The third module details wine and Food congruent and contrasting pairings, the golden rules, complex pairings, basic mistakes, and cooking wines.


Module 4: Wine Storage

The last module discusses cellars’ types, ideal storage conditions, and aging wine time.

The classes are addressed objectively and straightforwardly through dynamic, high-quality sound and videos.

Complementary materials for each module will be provided for downloading. All students will test their knowledge through a quiz. A certificate will be available to download by the end of the course.
