Lamborghini Sian Roadster: the hybrid supercar of 819 hp with supercapacitors discovered

Lamborghini has unveiled a convertible version of its hybrid supercar that combines a V12 engine and an electric motor powered by supercapacitors. Only 19 copies will be produced, all of which have already been sold.

Get fed up with these images, because the chances of seeing one in real life on the road are minimal. Produced in 19 copies, the Lamborghini Sian Roadster is even more exclusive than the Sian coupe unveiled last September and manufactured in 63 copies. This roofless model promises even more extreme sensations with its 350 km / h in top speed hair in the wind .

The Sian Roadster is a kind of apotheosis of ever more daring and outrageous design to which the firm of Sant’Agata has accustomed us. The taut and aggressive lines worthy of a fighter plane are further accentuated by this open cockpit and the two aero tunnels which slide over the engine hood in line with the headrests.

Supercapacitors between the cockpit and the engine

On the engine side, we find the same hybrid configuration as on the Sian, with a central V12 of 785 hp at 8,500 rpm coupled to a 34 hp and 48 volt electric motor incorporated in the gearbox. The latter is powered by supercapacitors located in the bulkhead between the cockpit and the engine which are fully recharged by the energy generated during braking. Lamborghini announces a weight / power ratio of 2.0 kg / hp and a 0 to 100 km / h in less than 2.9 seconds.

Each of the 19 copies of the Sian Roadster can be personalized according to customer wishes by the Ad Personam department of Lamborghini . The use of 3D printing will even allow the owner’s initials to be inserted on the ventilation grilles . The price of this exceptional model is not communicated but we can easily imagine that it is as breathtaking as this roadster.
