How to share your photos and videos without connection on Opera Mini?

No more wasting your mobile data volume to share photos, videos or other multimedia content with your loved ones. You can now do it between smartphones, without internet connection or wifi.

Have you ever had to share files on your smartphone with someone but not have a network or wifi? In this case, how to share photos and videos without connection? Good news, this is a feature now integrated into the Opera Mini mobile browser. So start by installing it on the phones with which you want to share your files.

Opera Mini shares files

Opera Mini simplifies your file sharing

Once installed and started, click the Opera icon located at the bottom right of the screen and select File Sharing.

Before you start exchanging files, you have to start by pairing the phones. On the one that contains the files you want to share, click send, a QR code will then appear.

On the second phone, follow the same procedure to the File Sharing screen. Select this time Receive. The phone will then ask you to scan the QR code of the first phone to finish connecting them.

After pairing successfully, you will now be able to send files. The operation is slightly capricious since you will have to click on the icon of the file and not on its name (otherwise, the file starts)!

Once the file is selected, click Send.

The progress of the exchange then appears at the top around the name of the phone.

When you have finished sending/receiving, click on the file to open it.

Transfer Opera Mini files to your computer

If you want to recover the file (on a computer for example) via a USB cable, the Opera Mini programmers have hidden the files. You will need to go to the folder Opera Mini located in the internal memory of your phone (even if you have a memory card) to find your files.
