How to configure Smart Lock on your Android?

Phone makers want to make it easier for users and their devices to interact, for example, by providing several lock options, such as facial recognition, fingerprint capture, or iris.

In addition to all these possibilities, Google has also created the Smart Lock service for Android.

Right out of version 5.0 Lollipop of Android, this system allows you to unlock your device using geolocation, your voice, or your body (yes you read correctly).

So, no longer having to type a code or draw a diagram, set up Smart Lock on your Android.

Set up Smart Lock on your Android

Whether you have a Huawei or a Xiaomi, the Smart Lock function works the same way on Android, whatever your brand and its configuration are easy to achieve.

To do this, go to your Security Settings, enter your PIN, and press Smart Lock. That’s when five options are available to you. Below, we will explain each one of them.

Detecting the device on you

With this option, once your smartphone is unlocked, it will stay on as long as you are moving, or hold the device in your hand.

On the other hand, if it does not detect your presence, then it will lock automatically.

Verified locations

If you choose the Verified Places method, then you will need to add an address (personal or business, for example) or a trusted place to which your smartphone will unlock, without needing to touch it.
